Complaints Handling: Complaints about Parish Councillors are now handled by the District Council. Please visit the Vale of the White Horse District Council’s Complaints page. You should also refer to the NHPC Code of Conduct found on this page as any complaint must state why you think a councillor has not followed the code of conduct.
Data Protection and Personal Data held by NHPC
With the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR) in May 2018 a number of new requirements apply to any personal data that NHPC might hold about you. These include various rights that you as a member of the public have to access this data, or request corrections or deletion of data, amongst others. The Council also has to explain why it holds your data, and how long for.
Details of all these can be found in our NHPC Privacy Notice for the General Public rev Sep 2020.
A separate NHPC Privacy Notice for Councillors Employees and Other Role Holders rev Sep 2020 applies to those individuals.
The Council also operates a Privacy Policy (see our Policies section above), which details how the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR) is being implemented by NHPC.
Please contact us if you have any questions about the Privacy Notice or the personal data we hold about you, or to exercise all relevant rights, queries or complaints via:
Helen Broughton, Locum Parish Clerk, North Hinksey Parish Council, Parish Office, First Floor, 5 Church Way, Botley, Oxford OX2 9TH Email clerk@northhinksey-pc.org.uk Telephone number: 07494 054581
Enquiries of this type will be answered within 1 calendar month and there will be no charge for an initial enquiry. NHPC reserves the right to refuse or charge a ‘reasonable fee’ for requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive. Where requests are refused the individual has the right to complain to the ICO or to go to court.
