Consultation closes 29th July: proposed changes to the naming of North Hinksey Parish Council. A Community Governance Review is carried out every four years. In this review we have requested two changes to the naming of our Council:
- to include ‘Botley’ within the name of the parish i.e. ‘Botley and North Hinksey Parish Council’
- and change to the name from a “Parish Council” to a “Community Council”.
This is now open for public consultation and you can submit comments online up to Friday 29th July. Visit the Community Governance website here to comment.
What happens next?
The Community Governance and Electoral Issues Committee will consider the responses and agree whether or not to implement the proposed changes. We aim to implement any changes agreed so that they apply in time for the May 2023 elections. We will post the results of the consultation on their website in Autumn 2022.
